Boardwalk Announces New “Family Fun Overnight”

March 8-9, 2013 at the Cocoanut Grove

SANTA CRUZ, CA, 2013-01-24 — /travelprnews.com/ —  The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk announced a new event for 2013 – the first annual Family Fun Overnight. The event kicks off March 8 at the Cocoanut Grove, adjacent to the Boardwalk.  With the historic, oceanfront event facility as a base, families will enjoy an evening of arcade games, family contests, a movie and sleepover in the Cocoanut Grove, followed by a sand castle contest, and a full day of amusement park rides.

“Overnight events at landmark venues such as the Cocoanut Grove are very popular with families,” said Boardwalk promotions director Karley Pope. “The Cocoanut Grove offers a unique location to enjoy a really fun family overnight event.” Other Bay Area venues with successful overnight events include the Monterey Bay Aquarium and AT&T Park.
