MOSCOW, 2015-7-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Aeroflot PJSC (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) has developed and launched a series of simulators fitted with real aircraft elements as part of its ground-staff training programme. The innovative trainers have been designed to help future ground professionals develop practical machine-operating skills in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The main goal of Aeroflot’s staff training programme is to improve flight safety, to minimise the risk of damage to aircraft, ground vehicles and baggage-handling equipment, and to ensure high levels of reliability and quality of service.
The new simulators developed by Aeroflot include:
• A «universal simulator», which imitates a section of aircraft fuselage and is used to develop skills in operating container trucks and conveyor belts;
• A passenger door simulator, which offers the opportunity to train drivers of ambulifts and hydraulic catering vehicles;
• A nose landing-gear simulator, which develops practical skills for towing towbar-less aircraft using a towing tractor;
• A wing chord plane simulator, which can be used for training on de-icing procedures.
