The inaugural event at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel featured government and diplomatic figures alongside CEO Mesfin Tasew. Flights operate with a one-stop in Dhaka, integrating seamlessly into Ethiopian’s network of 28 Asian destinations and 190+ weekly frequencies. The new route aims to deepen Africa–Southeast Asia relations, enhance tourism and trade, and strengthen cultural and business links.

The launch ceremony at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel welcomed government dignitaries, diplomatic envoys, and Ethiopian Airlines executives, including Group CEO Mesfin Tasew.
This Hanoi route represents Ethiopian Airlines’ first passenger link to Vietnam and its 20th Asian destination, reinforcing the airline’s strategic push into Southeast Asia and fostering stronger Africa–Asia ties. Flights will operate via a single technical stop in Dhaka, Bangladesh, offering seamless onward connections across Ethiopian’s extensive global network.
