A Fresh Era of Refined Comfort Takes Flight as Qantas Unveils Its Revitalised A380 First Experience

(NEWS) SYDNEY, 2025-Dec-2 — /Travel PR News/ — Qantas is elevating the long-haul premium experience for its First customers with a refreshed suite of dining, wellness, and comfort upgrades rolling out progressively across its A380 network from December, according to their press release. The enhancements, shaped through traveller feedback and detailed inflight trials, reflect the Flying Kangaroo’s broader investment in premium service ahead of its forthcoming ultra-long-haul Project Sunrise flights. On departures from Australia, passengers can expect a richer culinary journey led by Neil Perry, Qantas’ Creative Director of Food and Beverage, who is introducing signature dishes from his acclaimed Margaret restaurant alongside an expanded menu highlighting producers from around the country. This fine-dining approach will be complemented by an elevated beverage programme featuring award-winning Australian wines, a wider cocktail selection and premium champagne including Bollinger La Grande Année 2015 and Pommery Cuvée Louise 2006.

Qantas is also introducing new Aesop amenity kits designed exclusively for the airline in three collectable styles, each stocked with curated skincare essentials such as Resurrection Hand Balm, Rinse-Free Hand Wash and Cedar & Citrus Lip Salve. The airline has refreshed its inflight comfort offering as well, unveiling redesigned navy pyjamas and loafer-style slippers intended to enhance rest on long sectors. According to Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace, these upgrades reflect the airline’s commitment to delivering a consistently premium First experience, with extensive training underway to ensure cabin crews are prepared to introduce the new offerings onboard.

The updates also support Qantas’ focus on wellbeing and jetlag mitigation, enabling First customers to dine on demand to maximise rest during long journeys. Available on flagship A380 routes to cities including Singapore, London, Los Angeles, Johannesburg and Dallas, the full suite of First enhancements is expected to be in place across the network by mid-2026. Together, these refinements underscore Qantas’ intention to offer a finely tuned blend of comfort, gastronomy and thoughtful design for travellers seeking the highest tier of inflight luxury.
