Meet your new best friend just outside the Zoo on April 28.
Atlanta, GA, 2018-Apr-18 — /Travel PR News/ — Atlanta’s oldest cultural destination and Atlanta’s oldest private charitable organization team up where their missions meet – a commitment to animals – at ZooPaws hosted by Zoo Atlanta and the Atlanta Humane Society on Saturday, April 28, 2018. The community-focused pet adoption event will take place in Grant Park, just outside the gates of Zoo Atlanta, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
ZooPaws is back for a second year after more than 50 dogs found forever homes in 2017. The Atlanta Humane Society and other local adoption agencies will be on hand with a large variety of adult dogs and puppies in need of loving and responsible homes.
“Zoo Atlanta is excited to join the Atlanta Humane Society for a second-annual pet adoption event,” said Raymond B. King, President and CEO, Zoo Atlanta. “As an advocate of the superior stewardship and conservation of all species of wildlife, the Zoo welcomes every opportunity to encourage responsible pet ownership. ZooPaws is an especially rewarding opportunity for us to make a positive impact on the lives of these deserving animals.”
In addition to meeting a new best friend, families will also enjoy kid-friendly activities, food trucks and special Zoo Atlanta incentives for adoptive families. Local boutique, boarding and pet-wellness vendors will also be on site. There is no charge to attend the event.
“The Atlanta Humane Society is thrilled to host ZooPaws with Zoo Atlanta again this year, and we are looking forward to helping as many animals find forever homes as possible,” said Christina Hill, Director of Marketing and Communications, Atlanta Humane Society. “ZooPaws is an incredible community event that brings animal lovers and animal welfare agencies from all over the metro Atlanta area together to find loving homes for animals in need. We can’t wait to see how many lucky pups find love on April 28!”
Pets are not permitted inside Zoo Atlanta with the exception of service animals, and for health and safety reasons, personal pets will not be permitted inside the ZooPaws event. The Atlanta Humane Society will facilitate meet-and-greets, outside the designated event space, for guests interested in introducing a personal pet to a potential adoptee. Adoption fees and policies will be stipulated by the Atlanta Humane Society and each participating adoption agency.
