Wyndham Rewards Loyalty Program makes rewards more achievable for travelers

-Guarantees Rewards after only one night stay
-Introduces Gold Status tier with tangible benefits for members who stay more often

PARSIPPANY, N.J., 2013-05-14 — /travelprnews.com/ — Wyndham Rewards®, Wyndham Hotel Group’s guest loyalty program, is doing its part to help make rewards more achievable for travelers regardless of how often they travel.

In response to customer insights and industry research1 , Wyndham Rewards has introduced two innovative, industry leading program benefits: Guaranteed Rewards and a new Gold Status tier. Through Guaranteed Rewards members can earn enough points on even a one-night stay to redeem for a wide variety of rewards including magazine subscriptions, travel accessories, music downloads and children’s books. Rewards begin with as few as 50 Wyndham Rewards points. Nearly 30 reward options are available for fewer than 1,000 points and nearly 80 rewards are available for fewer than 2,000 points.

In addition to providing casual travelers with easy-to-earn rewards, the loyalty program also introduced a new Gold Status tier to reward travelers who stay more frequently.  Members will earn a free night after every 20 qualified nights at a Wyndham Hotel Group participating property in a calendar year. Members who earn these free nights as a result of their Gold Status will continue to earn points that can be used to redeem for rewards such as merchandise, gift cards and event tickets. The Gold Status benefit is provided to members residing in the more than 50 countries offering the Wyndham Rewards program.

“Wyndham Rewards experienced tremendous growth in 2012, expanding our portfolio of participating hotels by launching in more than 20 new countries and unveiling our global rewards catalog of gift cards and merchandise,” said Flo Lugli, executive vice president of Marketing for Wyndham Hotel Group. “As an extension of that growth, the program is evolving to incorporate features that speak to the needs of our members who want a transparent program with tangible and achievable rewards. By rewarding every stay and creating a Gold Status tier, we have kept the program relevant for both the frequent and less frequent traveler. There truly is something for everyone with Wyndham Rewards.”

Wyndham Rewards also modified its reward tier levels to make free nights more achievable.  Now, members need only 5,500 points rather than 6,000 points to earn a free night at select Wyndham Hotel Group properties.
