SEATTLE, WA, 2015-11-16 — /Travel PR News/ — Woodland Park Zoo: Turkey Toss for the beasts on Saturday, November 21, 2015

WHAT: It’s a feast for the beasts when a handful of Woodland Park Zoo’s animals, such as Komodo dragons, snow leopards, and wolves, chow down on raw, store-prepared turkeys or other autumn-themed treats.

The special turkey treat is part of the zoo’s excellent animal care program to help enrich the lives of the zoo’s animals. The activities help encourage natural animal behavior, keep animals mentally and physically stimulated and engage zoo visitors.

WHEN: Saturday, November 21, 10:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

WHERE: Enter Woodland Park Zoo through the West Entrance at Phinney Ave. N. between N. 55th & N. 56th Sts. or South Entrance at N. 50th St. & Fremont Ave. N.

COST: Turkey Toss is free with zoo admission. Winter discount admission through March 31: Adult (13-64) $13.75; Child (3-12) $9.25; Toddler (0-2) free. Active, retired, and veteran U.S. military and their families, seniors and people with physical disabilities receive an admission discount. Zoo members receive free zoo admission year round. Parking: $5.25.

INFO: Zoo fall/winter hours: 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. daily.

Rainy Day discount: Before you head to the zoo, go to zoo.org/rainyday and check if a Rainy Day Discount coupon has been posted for the day. Discount coupons, when offered, are good for 50% off on all regular admissions to the zoo, limit four admissions per coupon. Present a printed coupon or show the coupon on your phone at the gate.
