Budapest, Hungary, 2017-May-21 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today started operations from Osijek Airport. The maiden flight took off to Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (EuroAirport). Wizz Air’s newest service will be operated with two weekly flights, on Mondays and Fridays, providing customers with a convenient schedule for weekend getaways as well as business trips. Seats on the route can be booked from just EUR 14.99* on wizzair.com.

EuroAirport is located in the heart of Western Europe at the crossroads of three countries: France, Germany and Switzerland. The new route is expected to strengthen business relations between Croatia and the three countries while also boosting bi-directional tourism.

Osijek is becoming the second Croatian airport within the ever-growing WIZZ network – the airline already operates three low-fare routes from Split to London Luton in the UK and Katowice and Warsaw in Poland.

Wizz Air now connects 141 destinations across 42 countries providing millions of passengers with reliable air traffic operations, very low fares and a friendly, consumer oriented service.

The newest WIZZ service connects Osijek Airport with EuroAirport, providing Croatian customers with affordable access to three countries, France, Germany and Switzerland at the same time. Besides strengthening business relations between the affected countries, we also expect that this low-fare route will attract more visitors to Slavonia, which will stimulate tourism and hospitality industries in the region. We look forward to continuing our fruitful partnership with Osijek airport as we bring more low fares to Croatia.”
