The campaign also partners with Liverpool FC for global visibility, complemented by influencer activations on social media. The effort is designed to build long-term growth, increase year-round arrivals, and reinforce the Maldives’ global appeal.
(PRESS RELEASE) MALE, Maldives, 2025-Jun-2 — /Travel PR News/ — Visit Maldives has launched an expansive Summer Campaign designed to attract tourists from Europe and other key international markets, reinforcing the Maldives’ position as a preferred year-round destination. This multi-market initiative focuses on driving early bookings for the upcoming winter season while increasing the destination’s visibility for both the summer and winter months.
The 2025 Summer Sale Campaign combines digital, out-of-home, and influencer-driven strategies. In Europe, vibrant billboards are featured in the London Underground and on city buses, enticing travelers to experience the Maldives this summer. Alongside this, a dynamic social media mini-campaign engages directly with consumers to further amplify the Maldives’ appeal.
A key feature of the campaign is the strategic European roadshow series, branded as Visit Maldives Week, which includes on-ground activations in major European cities. These events aim to strengthen trade relationships and stimulate early bookings for the 2025-2026 winter season. The roadshows will take place in Italy and France (14–20 May 2025) across Rome, Milan, Lyon, and Paris, followed by Germany and Switzerland (2–5 June 2025) in Frankfurt, Munich, and Zurich. These events will feature immersive destination experiences and networking opportunities for travel trade partners, media, and influencers.
To amplify global visibility, Visit Maldives has partnered with Liverpool Football Club, featuring digital advertisements on LiverpoolFC.com and sending targeted email campaigns to the MyLFC fanbase. This collaboration ensures that the Maldives reaches millions of global fans, aligning the destination’s brand with a premium lifestyle appeal. Additionally, curated influencer activations across platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok will create aspirational content and extend the campaign’s reach across key markets.
Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO of Visit Maldives, emphasized the importance of the campaign, stating, “This summer campaign is integral to boosting our presence in the European market, where we see significant potential. By combining in-person activities with strategic media placements and global partnerships, we aim to keep the Maldives at the top of travelers’ minds.”
The campaign also aims to address seasonal gaps, as last year saw no significant summer-focused initiatives in Europe. By enhancing visibility during the off-peak months, Visit Maldives expects to bolster year-round arrivals and reinforce the Maldives’ standing as a premier global travel destination.
