An accomplished fencer, he applies the sport’s principles of discipline and teamwork to his leadership. Mr. Lapasset, who joined the iconic rue Saint-Honoré property in 2022 as Hotel Manager, steps into this leadership role following a remarkable tenure marked by operational excellence and unwavering dedication.
Boasting nearly two decades of distinguished service in luxury hospitality—including an impressive eleven years with the Mandarin Oriental family—Edouard Lapasset brings a wealth of experience across every facet of hotel operations. His early career saw him rotate through Purchasing, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Project Management, before assuming the role of Assistant Front Office Manager in Geneva. He subsequently advanced to Director of Rooms, first in Geneva and then at the Mandarin Oriental in Doha in 2020.
Since arriving in Paris, Edouard has been instrumental in cementing the hotel’s status as a pinnacle of French luxury. His Parisian roots—born and raised in the City of Light—inform his passionate advocacy for French savoir-faire. Fueled by a lifelong love of travel, he cherishes the human connections at the heart of hospitality and places equal emphasis on enhancing guest satisfaction and team well-being.
Outside the hotel, Edouard channels his competitive spirit into fencing, embodying values of performance, leadership, discipline, and perseverance—qualities he seamlessly integrates into both his personal ethos and his management style.
