Travellers Gain More Italian Getaways as Wizz Air Launches New Flights from London Luton

(NEWS) LONDON, 2025-Oct-29 — /Travel PR News/ — Travellers departing from London Luton Airport (LLA) now have even more opportunities to explore Italy, as Wizz Air expands its network with new connections to Rome, Milan, and soon, Venice. According to a press announcement, the airline has introduced 11 weekly flights from Luton to Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa, while a year-round service to Venice is set to launch on 1 December. The expansion strengthens Wizz Air’s presence at LLA and provides passengers with convenient, affordable access to some of Italy’s most celebrated cities.

Simon Harley, Interim Director of Aeronautical Revenue at London Luton Airport, said the new additions reflect the airport’s dedication to offering travellers more choice and convenience. He noted that the ability to easily reach Rome, Milan, and Venice enhances LLA’s appeal to passengers seeking both cultural getaways and culinary adventures. Wizz Air’s growing partnership with the airport continues to expand its reach across Europe, bringing millions of travellers closer to sought-after destinations.

The timing of the new routes is ideal for travellers seeking autumn and winter escapes. Rome’s Romaeuropa Festival, running until 16 November, brings together music, theatre, and dance across the capital’s historic landmarks, while Milan’s BookCity Milano (10–16 November) offers a celebration of literature and learning. Meanwhile, Venice, famous for its canals and timeless beauty, will soon be accessible via Luton just in time for festive season travel.

Yvonne Moynihan, Managing Director at Wizz Air UK, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, highlighting the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity between the UK and Italy. She noted that these routes represent a continued effort to provide more travel options at competitive fares while strengthening the airline’s partnership with London Luton Airport. Looking ahead, Wizz Air plans to broaden its LLA network even further next spring, adding five more Spanish destinations — Bilbao, Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, and Seville — for travellers eager to enjoy sun-soaked Mediterranean experiences.
