BANFF, AB, 2016-Aug-04 — /Travel PR News/ — The wildflowers are out and there are still two months of hiking to enjoy at iconic Sunshine Meadows at Sunshine Village in Banff National Park. This year, Sunshine Village is making it even easier to access the colourful fields of wildflowers this season with the Sunshine gondola and Standish sightseeing lift running Friday, Saturday Sunday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The last day of gondola access is Monday, September 5, 2016.
“It’s hard to think that these views could get any more incredible, but once the fields are filled with wildflowers it really is a sight to see,” starts Dave Riley, COO at Sunshine Village. “They are only blooming for a limited time though, so get out and see flowers like the Indian Paintbrush, purple Fireweed and more.”
Only an hour and a half from Calgary, Sunshine Meadows is a great escape from the city for families, colleagues or friends looking to enjoy a day in the mountains. And don’t worry about packing a lunch—Trapper’s Grill and BBQ in the village is open for lunch and beverages daily from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
White Mountain Adventures features daily shuttles from the Sunshine Village parking lot to the village Monday to Thursday until mid-September. No need to make reservations for the gondola or Standish lift, but they highly recommend booking your shuttle beforehand at www.skibanff.com/summer.
