The COTA Zoo Bus to provide travel to and from the Columbus Zoo and Zoombezi Bay beginning May 31

POWELL, Ohio, 2016-May-26 — /Travel PR News/ — The COTA Zoo Bus is back, providing travel to and from the Columbus Zoo and Zoombezi Bay while offering admission discounts.

Beginning May 31 and running through Sept. 5, the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) will take passengers to and from the Columbus Zoo for $2 each way. In addition to saving the $10 cost of Zoo parking, passengers receive half-off of a regular Zoo admission or $4 off Zoombezi Bay admission, which includes access to the Zoo.

The estimated bus travel times are comparable to personalized vehicles coming from downtown Columbus – about 40 minutes each way.

From downtown, the Zoo Bus (Line 98) departs from the High Street stop at the Statehouse at 8:10 a.m., 9:40 a.m., 11:10 a.m., 2:40 p.m. and 6:10 p.m.

From the Zoo, the Zoo Bus departs at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. This route stops at the Griggs Dam Park & Ride and at select stops downtown before returning to the Statehouse.

During the summer the Zoo will be open daily 9 a.m.-7 p.m. (except on June 18, when the Zoo closes at 3 p.m. for Zoofari). Zoombezi Bay will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 or 8 p.m. depending on the month; please check ZoombeziBay.com for details.
