Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2019-Nov-21 — /Travel PR News/ — One of Deutsche Hospitality’s luxury brand hotels is about to receive a fresh new look as the Steigenberger Conti Hansa in Kiel embarks on an extensive programme of conversion and renovation works. These measures are scheduled to take place during the period from November 2019 to the end of April 2020, and a total budget of €7 million has been earmarked for their completion. The works will have no impact on day-to-day operations at the hotel.
“The Steigenberger Conti Hansa is steeped in tradition, and these renovations represent an important step in our new strategic brand alignment,” explained Thomas Willms, CEO, Deutsche Hospitality. “We are eagerly anticipating the results and are confident that the final makeover will be very much in line with the Evolution Steigenberger concept.”
As well as taking in many of the rooms, the project will include full or partial refurbishment of the hotel’s guest bathrooms, guest corridors, public areas, restaurant, lobby and conference area. Things will also be happening behind the scenes as the technical building services, the conservatory, the kitchen and the roof covering all undergo an update.
“The Steigenberger Conti Hansa is located at the very heart of Kiel and has been one of the city’s most prestigious destinations for thirty years,” said General Manager Evelyn Wirth. “These modernisation works will generate plenty of enthusiasm for our Hanseatic City and for our hotel by offering guests an even greater level of comfort in future.”
The hotel in Kiel occupies a central position in Kiel opposite the famous Baltic Sea Wharf. This means that guests enjoy the particular benefit of being able to access the City’s tourist attractions and main transportation hubs without difficulty. Kiel Castle can be reached on foot in only three minutes, and the central railway station is also only a 20-minute walk away.
