Spirit Airlines Launches New Service From O'Hare to Warm Weather Destinations
CHICAGO, 2012-11-12 — /travelprnews.com/ — Spirit Airlines today started new seasonal nonstop service from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Tampa, Florida and Phoenix/Mesa, Arizona – as well as resuming seasonal service from Chicago to Fort Myers, Florida.
“On behalf of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, we are pleased that Spirit Airlines continues to expand its routes at O’Hare,” said Rosemarie S. Andolino, Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA). “Seasonal service is also an important component in the Mayor’s vision to maintain Chicago’s leading status in the aviation industry, as well as increasing job opportunities in our region.”
Spirit Airlines has operated from Terminal 3 at O’Hare since October 2000.
Spirit offers nonstop service from Chicago O’Hare to 18 cities. The destinations are Atlantic City (seasonal); Boston (seasonal); Dallas/Ft. Worth; Denver; Detroit; Fort Lauderdale; Fort Myers (seasonal); Houston; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Minneapolis/St. Paul; Myrtle Beach (seasonal); New York/LaGuardia; Orlando; Phoenix/Mesa (seasonal) and Tampa (seasonal).
