CHICAGO, 2012-08-30 — /travelprnews.com/ — Spirit Airlines today announced it will add new daily nonstop service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Houston/Bush Intercontinental Airport. The new route will launch on October 4, 2012.
The daily flights will depart from Chicago O’Hare at 8:35 p.m. and arrive to Houston at 11:19 p.m.The flight from Houston will depart each day at 6:15 a.m. and arrive in Chicago at 8:52 a.m. The arrival/departure times will change on November 8.
“On behalf of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, we’re very pleased that Spirit has added new service from Chicago O’Hare to Houston Intercontinental Airport,” said Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino. “Spirit Airlines continues to expand flight options at O’Hare, which is great news for travelers seeking low-cost airfares.”
Currently Spirit offers nonstop service from Chicago O’Hare to 16 cities over the course of the year. The destinations include Atlantic City (seasonal); Boston (seasonal); Dallas/Ft. Worth; Denver; Detroit; Fort Lauderdale; Fort Myers (seasonal); Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Minneapolis/St. Paul; Myrtle Beach (seasonal); New York/LaGuardia; Orlando; Phoenix/Mesa (seasonal) and Tampa (seasonal).
Spirit Airlines has operated from Terminal 3 at O’Hare since October 2000.
