South African Airways advises customers of weather related flight changes on the Johannesburg-Hong Kong route

JOHANNESBURG, 2014-7-17 — /Travel PR News/ — South African Airways (SAA) advises customers of weather related flight changes on the Johannesburg-Hong Kong route.

The following flight cancellations between Johannesburg (JNB) and Hong Kong (HKG) apply for today 17 July 2014 and tomorrow 18 July 2014.

Flight cancellation due to aircraft repairs.

•         SA287 17July (Thursday) Hong Kong to Johannesburg

Flight cancellations due to adverse weather conditions in Hong Kong region associated with Typhoon Rammasun.

•         SA286 17 July (Thursday) Johannesburg to Hong Kong
•         SA287 18 July (Friday) Hong Kong to Johannesburg

SAA is closely monitoring the impact of Typhoon Rammasun. SAA regrets any inconvenience caused to our passengers. SAA will keep passengers informed should the current situation change.

Passengers can consult the airline’s website www.flysaa.com for travel advisory updates.

SAA ticketed customers affected by the above flight cancellations will be offered the following assistance either via SAA’s Call Centre’s, City Ticket Offices, Airport Ticket Offices, or customers may contact their Travel Agent;
•     rebooking on the next available flight (same cabin / same booking class) subject to space;
•     all date and flight change fees will be waivered;
•     the offer must be taken up and tickets re-issued through an SAA or Travel Agents office by 25 July 2014;
•     if you are moving to a later date, all such travel must commence on/before  31 July 2014;
•     full refund, waivering all cancelation and administration fees will apply;
•     assistance will also be provided to passengers holding Voyager redemption tickets on SAA.

The waiver conditions apply to SA flights within SA Airways network, issued on SA (083) ticket stock only. SAA Reserves the right to amend the policy without prior notice.
