Sochi 2014: Ski jumper Simon Ammann to carry the Swiss flag at Friday’s Opening Ceremony

Sochi, Russia, 2014-2-7 — /travelprnews.com/ — Ski jumper Simon Ammann, a double gold medal winner in 2002 and 2010, will carry the Swiss flag at Friday’s Opening Ceremony.

“This is my fifth Olympic Games and I’m looking for something extra. It will be nice,” said the 32-year-old.

Alpine skier Benjamin Raich was initially given the honour but declined because he plans to arrive in Sochi after the Opening Ceremony.
