SFO Brings San Francisco Culture to Travelers with the Return of the Cherry Blossom Festival Experience for Spring 2025

(IN SHORT) San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has announced the return of its experiential event series with the launch of the “SFO Celebrates: Cherry Blossom Festival,” scheduled to begin on April 10, 2025. The event, held in the post-security area of Terminal 2 near Compass Books, will feature live performances on various dates throughout the week—April 10 (10:00 am to 1:30 pm), April 11 and 17 (10:00 am to 2:00 pm), and April 18 (12:00 noon to 3:00 pm). Launched in April 2022, the series aims to immerse airport guests in San Francisco’s vibrant local culture and traditions, providing travelers with a uniquely engaging experience while they transit through the airport. SFO reaffirms its commitment to creating an extraordinary airport environment that combines seamless access with sustainable design and cultural enrichment, making the travel experience more inspiring and enjoyable.

This spring, SFO is once again hosting its popular “SFO Celebrates: Cherry Blossom Festival,” inviting guests to experience one of San Francisco’s most cherished springtime traditions right inside the airport.

Set in the post-security area of Terminal 2 across from Compass Books, the festival will feature live musical and cultural performances that capture the beauty and vibrancy of the Cherry Blossom celebration. Live events are scheduled to run on different days this week: on April 10, performances will take place from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm; on April 11 and April 17, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm; and on April 18, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm.

Originally launched in April 2022, the “SFO Celebrates” series was designed to bring San Francisco’s diverse neighborhoods and cultural events directly to airport visitors, enhancing the travel experience with local flair.
