Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk to hold a family-friendly Fun Run on March 26

Santa Cruz, CA, 2022-Jan-31 — /Travel PR News/ — Lace up your shoes and join the fun on Saturday, March 26 for a family-friendly race through the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. This unique experience is open to runners of all ages and abilities. The Fun Run will feature a 1k course for kids 12 and under and a 5k option open to everyone age 4 and up.  All participants will begin and end their run on the historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Online registration is open now at beachboardwalk.com/Fun-Run and ends March 25. Onsite registration is available on the day of the race from 6:30am – 8:00am at the Boardwalk’s Season Pass/Group Services Office.

Participants in the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Fun Run can celebrate their accomplishment with a commemorative finisher medal, tasty Boardwalk treats, up to 3 hours of post-race free play in the Boardwalk’s Casino Arcade and $15 off a Boardwalk Ride Wristband valid on race day.

“This one-of-a-kind run through the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a unique opportunity for runners of all ages and skill levels,” said Kris Reyes, Boardwalk spokesperson. “Families love to enjoy our thrilling rides and tasty foods and the Fun Run is a new way to experience the world’s best seaside amusement park.”

A portion of the proceeds from registration fees will benefit local non-profit Haven of Hope, Inc. Haven of Hope, Inc. was founded in 1998 by Davina Polanco, MS, CTRS. It is licensed to operate two Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs (STRTP) located in Santa Cruz County, serving foster youth in need of specialized support services.
