The award-winning retailer once again sponsors the Hole-in-One competition with a grand prize of $155,000
DOHA, Qatar, 2021-Mar-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Qatar Duty Free (QDF) is proud once again to be the Official Partner of the CBQ Golf Masters Tournament. The four-day tournament will be held at Education City Golf Club (ECGC) from 11 March to 14 March 2021 against the stunning backdrop of the 2022 Education City World Cup Stadium. 144 elite golfers will be competing for the coveted Mother of Pearl Trophy. Jorge Campillo, 2020 CBQ Masters Champion, will be defending his title against an impressive lineup of players including Chris Wood, 2013 CBQ Golf Masters winner and three times European Tour winner, Brandon Stone.
QDF will continue the long-standing tradition of sponsoring the Hole-in-One Competition, rewarding any player who makes a hole-in-one on the 9th hole, a QDF voucher worth $155,000. In its 10-year history, only two players have scooped this prize. The most recent hole-in-one competition winner was Jake McLeod of Australia at the 2019 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters at Doha Golf Club.

Hamad International Airport (HIA) has revealed plans for its second expansion phase. The expansion project will include 11,720 sqm of landscaped retail and F&B space, which will enhance the multi-dimensional offerings of the five-star airport by integrating world-class art collection and refreshing environment of lush greenery with contemporary retail and dining concepts among other leisure attractions and facilities under one expansive terminal. The airport’s capacity will also increase to accommodate 53 million passengers annually by 2022.
