Oakland International Airport welcomes Delta Air Lines’ nonstop service to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport this summer

Nonstop from OAK this summer… connecting to the world

Oakland, Calif., 2019-Mar-07 — /Travel PR News/ — Oakland International Airport (OAK) announces today (March 5, 2019) that beginning June 9, 2019, Delta Air Lines will resume nonstop service between Oakland and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

Passengers will appreciate the early morning arrival in ATL and connections to the Delta global network. The new daily flight will depart OAK at 10:30 PM and arrive at ATL at 6:06 AM the following day, operating aboard a Boeing 737-900 aircraft with a seating capacity of 20 in First Class, 21 in Comfort Plus, and 139 in Economy.  The returning flight departs ATL at 7:15 PM, arriving back at OAK at 9:22 PM.  The initial flights will operate daily, except on Saturday.

Effective October 1, the nonstop service will move to a highly-desirable Noon departure from OAK, operating Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a seating capacity of 16 in First Class, 36 in Comfort Plus, and 108 in Economy.  The new year-round nonstop flight to ATL joins Delta’s schedule at OAK of up to 5 daily nonstop flights to its hub in Salt Lake City.

This expansion of service offers innumerable possibilities to our customers throughout the Bay Area looking to travel through Delta’s largest hub to points worldwide. And likewise, it offers a convenient channel for travelers around the world to reach the Bay Area through OAK.”

Delta has served OAK since 1946, initially via Western Airlines, which it acquired in 1987.
