2012-12-06 — /travelprnews.com/ — O.R. Tambo International Airport hosted its annual Feather Awards on Friday, 30 November 2012.

The Feather Awards ceremony is a prestigious event which is hosted to thank all of the Airport’s stakeholders and reward consistent stakeholder service excellence. Through the Awards, O.R. Tambo International also aims to enhance business partnerships with its various service providers.

The selection criterion is two-fold, with the first being subjective, where passengers and customers are interviewed based on their experiences and perceptions. The second perspective is a quantitative review, which is informed by a Quality Management System that Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) implements across all its airports.

The final winner selection process is rigorous and goes through two independent internationalorganisations in Switzerland (ACI) and the UK (TRL), where the research findings are verified, evaluated and analysed.
