The impactful partnership showcases New Zealand as a photographer’s paradise using Nikon’s new KeyMission 360.
New Zealand, 2017-Jan-31 — /Travel PR News/ — Nikon Australia and Tourism New Zealand have today (24.01.17) launched a new global partnership to deliver stunning travel experiences that showcase Nikon’s KeyMission 360 camera and New Zealand’s spectacular landscapes.
Photo-driven tourism is booming and in response to this Nikon Australia has for the first time partnered with national tourism board, Tourism New Zealand to highlight New Zealand’s unique landscapes. The partnership will promote New Zealand through 360-degree content that will appear across Tourism New Zealand and Nikon’s digital and social channels from today.
Throughout the short 30-60 second videos, viewers will dip and dive past breath-taking mountains, experience the pristine wilderness of Doubtful Sound, explore the golden-hued coastline of Bay of Plenty and finish in Auckland’s thriving multicultural hub.
The immersive content will transport viewers to an untouched world of spectacular mountains, lush rainforests and dramatic landscapes. Viewers will finish their mesmerising journey of Auckland on Waiheke Island, just a 35-minute ferry ride from Auckland city.
The KeyMission 360 is the leading camera in Nikon’s new Action range of shock/water/cold and dustproof cameras. Action-ready, tough and wearable, 360-degree video and still images can be shared seamlessly with phones and smart devices through Nikon’s SnapBridge apps to deliver interactive content when uploaded onto YouTube and Facebook. Two other cameras complete the range, the KeyMission 170, for wide 170-degree action, and the wearable KeyMission 80 for instant action shots and videos.
Tourism New Zealand General Manager, Australia, Tony Saunders says New Zealand is a photographer’s paradise.
“We are thrilled to be the first national tourism board in the world to partner with Nikon Australia to showcase New Zealand using a Nikon 360 camera. Leveraging 360 photography to promote New Zealand is an opportunity to add depth and richness to our country [story] and promote travelling in autumn,” Mr Saunders said.
John Young, Marketing Manager, Nikon Australia says New Zealand’s renowned scenery has proven to be the perfect stage to show the world the exciting capabilities that 360-degree filming can deliver and let users relive the stunning locations in either 360 degrees or Virtual Reality.
“With the KeyMission range of cameras, photographers and travellers alike are able to capture their experiences in a way that places the viewer at the very heart of the action. It’s an incredibly powerful and new way of storytelling which delivers socially-shareable content that is more immersive than ever before.”
