(PRESS RELEASE) FORT WORTH, Texas, 2025-May-8 — /Travel PR News/ — American Airlines and Qantas are making travel to Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific more accessible than ever this winter with enhanced flight offerings. Starting December 2025, American will launch three weekly flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Brisbane (BNE), Australia, while Qantas will increase service between Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) and Melbourne (MEL) to daily flights. Additionally, Qantas will operate all daily services from DFW to Sydney (SYD) using the Airbus A380 aircraft beginning January 2026.
These expanded services are part of the ongoing collaboration between American Airlines and Qantas to offer the most comprehensive travel options between North America and the South Pacific. The airlines aim to provide travelers with more opportunities to explore Australia’s stunning landscapes, vibrant cities, and natural wonders.

Key Details:
American Airlines will launch three weekly flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Brisbane (BNE) starting December 5, running through the end of January 2026.
Qantas will operate daily flights between Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) and Melbourne (MEL) from December 3 through the end of January 2026.
Qantas will operate all daily services from DFW to Sydney (SYD) using the Airbus A380 starting January 2026.
American will also resume seasonal service from DFW to BNE beginning October 25, using the newly-designed Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Tickets for American’s new service from LAX to BNE will go on sale starting May 12.

This expansion continues the successful collaboration between American Airlines and Qantas, which began with the launch of services between DFW and Melbourne in 2022. The partnership now offers extensive flight options to Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, all operated with state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
American and Qantas offer a broad network of connections from major North American gateways including DFW, LAX, New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), and Vancouver (YVR). Customers can also enjoy connections to nearly 70 destinations across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific through four major gateways: Auckland (AKL), Brisbane (BNE), Melbourne (MEL), and Sydney (SYD).
