New A320neo Boosts Bristol’s easyJet Network to 83 Routes with 44 New UK Summer Connections

(IN SHORT) easyJet has stationed a new Airbus A320neo—the 19th at Bristol Airport—supporting 400 jobs and adding £27 million in GVA. The quieter, more fuel-efficient aircraft helps the airline operate 83 routes from Bristol, including new twice-weekly services to Almeria (from 24 June) and Palermo (from 26 June). Winter routes to Munich, Vienna, Zurich, and Verona were also announced. As part of its largest-ever UK summer programme, easyJet is deploying seven more A320 family jets, raising capacity to over 33 million seats and introducing 44 new routes. easyJet Holidays offers package deals through October 2026 to destinations like Mallorca and Tenerife, all backed by generous luggage allowances and flexible booking policies.

(PRESS RELEASE) BRISTOL, 2025-Jun-23 — /Travel PR News/ — easyJet, Bristol’s leading carrier, has bolstered its southwest operations with the arrival of a new Airbus A320neo at its Bristol Airport base. This addition—easyJet’s 19th aircraft stationed in Bristol—supports approximately 400 direct and indirect roles and contributes an estimated £27 million in UK gross value added.

The state-of-the-art A320neo, which is up to 50 percent quieter and burns 20 percent less fuel than its predecessor, underscores easyJet’s ongoing fleet modernization. With this expansion, the airline now serves 83 destinations from Bristol, spanning Europe and North Africa, and introduces two new summer routes: Bristol–Almeria (twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 24 June) and Bristol–Palermo (twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays from 26 June).

Last week, easyJet also unveiled winter services from Bristol to Munich, Vienna, Zurich, and Verona. As part of its largest-ever UK summer programme, easyJet is deploying seven additional Airbus A320 family jets across its British bases, increasing seat capacity by half a million to over 33 million seats and launching 44 new routes—including three entirely new destinations.

“Our 19th Bristol aircraft and the launch of Almeria and Palermo routes highlight our strong commitment to southwest England,” said Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager. “This growth not only creates skilled jobs and economic value but also enhances choice and connectivity for the six million customers we carry through Bristol each year.”

Rupert Lawrie, Commercial Director at Bristol Airport, added, “Welcoming another A320neo demonstrates our dedication to quieter, greener operations. With over half of easyJet’s Bristol fleet now composed of NEO aircraft—eleven in total—we’re proud to offer passengers high-frequency, low-emission flights while supporting local employment.”

easyJet Holidays continues to offer thousands of package escapes from Bristol through October 2026, covering popular sun and city breaks such as Mallorca, Alicante, Tenerife, Amsterdam, and Rhodes. Every package includes flights, hotel stays, 23 kg of checked luggage, transfers on beach breaks, and Ultimate Flexibility with free changes, refund guarantees, and best-price assurance.
