Moritz Klein appointed new director at Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof

Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2014-1-30 — /travelprnews.com/ — There is to be a change at the helm of the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof. As of 1 February 2014, new Director Moritz Klein will assume overall responsibility for the First Class Hotel that has 261 rooms and 42 suites. With the appointment of 46-year old Moritz Klein, the Steigenberger Hotel Group is gaining a hotel manager with considerable international experience who has spent the vast part of the last 20 years abroad.

After completion of initial vocational education and training at the Kempinski Hotel Vierjahreszeiten in Munich, Moritz Klein began his career as Assistant Front Office Manager in the Hotel Baltschug Kempinski in Moscow. This was followed by stints in Vietnam (Furama Resort Danang) and Brunei (The Empire Hotel & Country Club), where he was employed as Executive Assistant Manager on both occasions. In 2004, he took up the position of Resident Manager at the Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi, a post to which he subsequently returned as General Manager in 2008 following a year spent at the Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach in Dubai. Moritz Klein was appointed Area Vice President of Rotana Hotels LLC in Abu Dhabi in 2011 and in 2013 went on to become General Manager and Area General Manager for Abu Dhabi at the Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara.
“We are delighted to have been able to secure the services of such a proven hotel expert as Moritz Klein for one of our most important hotels. He will continue to ensure that the Frankfurter Hof is successfully positioned on the market”, said Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG.

Moritz Klein takes over from Armin Schröcker. Born in Austria, Armin Schröcker managed the Frankfurter Hof, the traditional flagship establishment of the Steigenberger Hotel Group located in the city centre of Frankfurt, extremely effectively for a period of just under three years. In 2012, he exercised a lead management function in the extensive renovation and conversion works to which the rooms and suites owe their present design. “We would like to thank Armin Schröcker for his considerable commitment and for his services to the Frankfurter Hof”, said Puneet Chhatwal.

Steigenberger Hotels AG is based in Frankfurt am Main and is one of Europe’s leading hotel groups. Its portfolio currently contains 98 hotels in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Egypt and China, including 12 establishments that are under construction or in the planning phase.
