Mineta San José International Airport ready to welcome more than 438,000 passengers this holiday season
San José, Calif., 2022-Nov-09 — /Travel PR News/ — As of last night, a popular destination for Bay Area travelers became even more accessible for passengers flying out of Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC), with the inauguration of Southwest Airlines flights to Palm Springs International Airport (PSP).
“We are excited to add more flight options for our passengers to this very popular California destination,” said John Aitken, SJC Director of Aviation. “This new nonstop option through Southwest is proof that SJC continues to see a strong recovery from the pandemic.”
To celebrate the launch of the service and to make the flight memorable, passengers enjoyed a festive atmosphere that included custom giveaways, balloons and a putting contest for a chance to win fun prizes.
Southwest’s nonstop SJC-PSP flights are scheduled to operate daily, six days per week (except Saturdays). Flight times, fares and reservations for the new flights are available at southwest.com.
