Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana’s Northern Tuli has launched some fabulous new family-friendly offers for the upcoming October half-term and Christmas holidays. These deals have been crafted to be accessible and suitable for all types of families, from young families to multiple-generation gatherings.

Children Stay for Free:

Up to two children under the age of 16 can stay for free when sharing a room with their parents.  Both Mashatu Lodge and Tuli Safari Lodge welcome children of all ages.

Children Pay Half Price:

If families prefer for the children to have their own space, they can stay in a separate room at half the normal children’s rate (must be over the age of 12). Mashatu Tent Camp offers a more adventurous experience for children 12 and older, whilst Euphorbia caters for older teens from 16 up.

Safari Homes Pay for 2, Stay for 3 nights:

For a private and luxurious multi-generational family experience, families can book one of Mashatu’s exclusive-use safari homes, perfect for up to 8 people, and enjoy your third night free!  Kolokolo and Shalimpo Safari Homes both boast 4 bedrooms each.

Family Happy Hour at Matebole Hide

In other big news, Mashatu has introduced a new “Family Happy Hour at Matebole Hide,” allowing families with younger children to experience close-up wildlife sightings (especially ellies) at eye level. Families can now book an hour-long session either after their morning game drive or before the afternoon drive, at a reduced rate of $35 per person. Rates are usually $90 per person for the morning or afternoon session which is around 3 – 4 hours, so this makes the experience a lot more affordable and family-friendly for those with shorter attention spans.  Subject to availability and terms and restrictions apply.
