2013-03-08 — /travelprnews.com/ — Today (March 7), when the doors to the new Marc By Marc Jacobs shop open at Copenhagen Airport, Denmark will be surpassing its European neighbours in more than one way: Not only will the new shop be the first of its kind at a European airport; it will make Denmark the country in Europe with the most Marc By Marc Jacobs shops.
Polka dots, bows, visible zippers and over-dimensioned buttons are just a few of the details characteristic of the New York brand Marc By Marc Jacobs. People in Denmark have long adored the edgy, urban designer brand. As of today, exclusive Marc By Marc Jacobs accessories such as shoes, bags, sunglasses, watches, jewellery and perfume will be available at the brand’s new concept store at Copenhagen Airport.
“Copenhagen will be the first airport in Europe to unveil a Marc By Marc Jacobs standalone shop. Therefore the shop will feature a wider range of the brand’s products than any other European airport can offer. The brand’s special in-store universe is an experience in itself, and the brand perfectly matches our vision for the airport shopping centre. In many ways, the new shop reflects our endeavours to offer extraordinary experiences,” said Carsten Nørland, VP, Sales and Market for Copenhagen Airports A/S.
The Danes love Marc By Marc Jacobs
The new shop at Copenhagen Airport will be the third Marc By Marc Jacobs shop in Denmark, making Denmark the country in Europe with the most Marc By Marc Jacobs shops.
“The Danes received the brand with great enthusiasm: There was a demand for it even before the first Marc By Marc Jacobs shop opened in Denmark in 2007. Marc Jacobs is known for its surprises, season after season, and many keep an eye on his creations to stay attuned to fashion trends. Moreover, all Marc By Marc Jacobs items have a long life due to their special design and high quality, which make them something you want to keep forever,” said Marise Østergaard, the woman behind the Danish Marc By Marc Jacobs shops.
