(PRESS RELEASE) Hong Kong, China, 2024-Nov-6 — /Travel PR News/ — Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is expanding its presence in the U.S. with a landmark project on Miami’s Brickell Key, reflecting its dedication to growing in select North American markets. This Miami development, along with new projects in Mexico and Grand Cayman, underscores the Group’s thoughtful approach to growth in the Americas.
The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami recently celebrated a key milestone with an exclusive event showcasing the brand’s signature luxury and renowned service. Top chefs and mixologists from Mandarin Oriental properties worldwide, including two-Michelin-starred Antonio Guida of Seta in Milan and Richard Ekkebus of Amber in Hong Kong, created an exceptional culinary experience for attendees. Signature cocktails were crafted by Chanel Adams of the Bamboo Bar in Bangkok and Devender Kumar from The Aubrey in Hong Kong, adding a distinctive touch to the evening.
Laurent Kleitman, Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, emphasized the significance of this project, noting, “Miami marks an exciting chapter in our expansion, as we aim to double our portfolio over the next decade. This growth aligns with our commitment to excellence, sustainability, and engaging with the communities we serve.” Chief Development Officer Francesco Cefalu added that the Group’s established legacy in luxury hospitality provides a solid foundation as they strategically expand into key U.S. markets.
Mandarin Oriental’s approach to growth is rooted in its rich dual heritage, combining the refined craftsmanship of The Oriental in Bangkok with the elegance and innovation of The Mandarin in Hong Kong. This blend defines the Group’s offering as it expands into new destinations, providing culturally mindful, luxurious experiences.
The Group’s commitment to sustainability has been widely recognized, including wins in three categories at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards, further distinguishing its brand as it brings its celebrated hospitality to the U.S. market.
