In Asia, new ports including Seoul, Tianjin, Otaru and Akita broaden the collection’s regional presence, with select overnight stays and culturally immersive shore excursions. With 226 suites accommodating 452 guests, Luminara continues to deliver an intimate ultra-luxury yachting experience paired with immersive regional discovery.

(PRESS RELEASE) FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, 2026-Mar-3 — /Travel PR News/ — The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has unveiled its Summer 2027 itineraries for Luminara, outlining an expanded Alaska season and newly enriched voyages across Asia. Sailing from April through October 2027, the program features 21 voyages, including 15 Alaska journeys, four Asia sailings and two transcontinental crossings. The collection continues to position its intimate, ultra-luxury yacht experience as a gateway to immersive regional discovery paired with elevated comfort at sea.

Following its inaugural Alaska deployment, Luminara will return to the region with a broader range of itineraries between Vancouver and Whittier. Select sailings will transit the Inside Passage, with nearly all voyages of eight nights or longer featuring a dedicated glacier day and scenic cruising through Tracy Arm Fjord. Guests can observe towering ice formations and forested shorelines directly from private ocean-view terraces, reinforcing the yacht’s close-to-nature experience.

The yacht’s scale enables access to smaller Alaskan communities such as Wrangell and Klawock, offering less crowded visits and extended time ashore. Certain sailings align with peak wildlife seasons, including bear activity during salmon runs, creating rare opportunities for observation. While at anchor in destinations such as Sitka, guests may access the sea via the yacht’s Marina platform, deepening their connection to Alaska’s dramatic coastal landscapes.

Programming aboard Luminara has been structured to complement the destinations. Wildlife observation sessions, expert-led talks and enrichment events bring regional insight on board, with each voyage hosting two distinguished guest speakers drawn from fields such as conservation, history, photography and cultural studies. Culinary experiences highlight local ingredients through tastings and hands-on workshops, including Alaskan salmon masterclasses and craft beer tastings. The Ritz-Carlton Spa integrates destination-inspired wellness rituals such as Glacier Stone Massage and botanical treatments featuring regional elements like fireweed and birch.

Shore experiences are equally curated. In Alaska, offerings include chartered glacier flights, wilderness landings, Zodiac explorations and seaplane journeys culminating in exclusive dining at historic Taku Glacier Lodge. In Ketchikan, guests may enjoy wilderness dining, while small-group excursions emphasize intimacy and access.

The 2027 season also expands the brand’s footprint across Asia. Seoul debuts as a new turnaround port, while Tianjin is introduced as a gateway to Beijing. Northern Japan joins the portfolio with inaugural calls in Otaru and Akita. Select itineraries include overnight stays in Otaru, allowing time to explore its canal district, seafood culture and artisan traditions. Additional highlights range from guided culinary explorations in Fukuoka to matcha workshops in Uji and visits to cultural landmarks such as the Itsukushima Shrine near Hiroshima.

Ernesto Fara, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, noted that the expanded itineraries reflect a continued focus on immersive exploration delivered with seamless service and ultra-luxury comfort. The strategy reinforces the company’s positioning within the high-end expedition-inspired cruise segment.

Voyage highlights include an eight-night Vancouver roundtrip on June 28, 2027, showcasing Tracy Arm and coastal communities such as Petersburg and Ketchikan, as well as a nine-night Vancouver to Whittier journey on August 11, 2027. In Asia, the April 25, 2027 sailing from Tokyo to Seoul blends urban centers with coastal heritage, while the October 13, 2027 Tokyo roundtrip explores southern Japan and Busan before returning to Yokohama.

Launched in July 2025, Luminara accommodates up to 452 guests across 226 suites, each featuring a private ocean-view terrace. Onboard amenities include multiple dining venues, an extensive wine collection, expansive pool areas and the signature Marina Beach platform, reinforcing the brand’s emphasis on intimacy and residential-style luxury at sea.

With the Summer 2027 season, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection continues to refine its approach to experiential cruising, combining expanded regional depth with thoughtfully designed voyages across two distinct yet equally compelling regions.
