(PRESS RELEASE) AMSTELVEEN, The Netherlands, 2026-Feb-24 — /Travel PR News/ — KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has unveiled its flight programme for the 2026 summer season, running from 29 March to 25 October, featuring a global network of 164 destinations. The schedule will include 96 European routes and 68 intercontinental services, offering a broad range of travel options for both leisure and business passengers.
The airline expects overall seat capacity to increase by roughly five percent compared with the previous summer season. European capacity is projected to rise by approximately six percent, while intercontinental capacity is anticipated to grow by about four percent. The expansion reflects steady demand and continued development of KLM’s worldwide route network.
The summer schedule will introduce three new European destinations. Travellers will be able to fly directly to Jersey, Santiago de Compostela and Oviedo for the first time, expanding the airline’s offering of regional European connections.
KLM is also planning additional services to a number of established European destinations. The airline will operate daily flights to Cagliari throughout the summer and will increase frequencies to Istanbul, Dubrovnik, Ljubljana and Cork, providing greater flexibility and connectivity for passengers.
On long-haul routes, several destinations will see additional capacity. Cape Town will benefit from extra flights at the start of the season, while Portland will be served daily for the entire summer period. Flights to San Diego, Miami and Hyderabad will operate continuously throughout the season, and San José will be included in the summer schedule for the first time.
The expanded programme reinforces KLM’s position as a major global carrier while providing travellers with increased choice and improved connectivity across Europe and beyond.
