Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants releases annual trend report, sharing what’s hot in food and beverage for the upcoming year
(IN SHORT) Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, a part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has released its annual Culinary + Cocktail Trend Forecast for 2024. The forecast is based on insights from Kimpton’s global team of culinary and beverage experts and highlights emerging trends in the food and beverage industry. Some of the culinary trends include the use of unrefined salts, tinned fish and “seacuterie” boards, the rise of cabbage in various preparations, creative dry aging of ingredients, and a resurgence of pastry in desserts. In the beverage category, textured cocktails for sensory experiences, a new wave of umami flavors, and the use of pantry ingredients in cocktails are predicted. The dining experience trends include multisensory dining and the integration of AI tools to optimize culinary processes and reduce food waste. Kimpton restaurants and bars around the world will be incorporating these trends into their menus in 2024, enhancing the dining experience for guests.
