Jet Aviation signed a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) service agreement with Wijet

Basel, Switzerland, 2019-May-24 — /Travel PR News/ — Jet Aviation signed a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) service agreement with Wijet, a Paris-based business aviation operator, to provide handling services through its network of FBOs in Europe. Formerly based in the UK, Wijet moved its operations to continental Europe in 2018. It is the exclusive partner of Air France La Premiere for all business aviation requests.

Under the service agreement, Jet Aviation is Wijet’s preferred handling service provider in Europe, supporting all aircraft operated by Wijet through its FBO locations in the region. Wijet is based in Paris and currently operates 3 Hondajets. With a backlog of 13 more Hondajets from a 2017 agreement, Wijet expects to manage 16 business jets in the near future.

“Our goal is to exceed customer expectations by providing seamless services to ensure the comfort and safety of aircraft owners and operators when and where needed,” said Oliver Bergsch, VP Sales Management EMEA & APAC. “This agreement highlights the quality of our handling services and the commitment of our experienced personnel to the highest standards. We look forward to providing a warm welcome to Wijet aircraft and passengers at our facilities.”

Jean-François Hochenauer, Wijet CEO, adds, “We have an aggressive plan to grow our fleet and wanted a reliable partner we can trust to deliver quality services to our clients as we expand the business. Having recently re-located from the UK to the continent in order to be closer to our customers, Jet Aviation’s extensive FBO network is highly reputed and extends a lot of tangible benefits.”

Jet Aviation currently operates 9 FBOs in Europe, including Geneva and Zurich, Switzerland; Amsterdam and Rotterdam, The Netherlands; Berlin (Schonefeld und Tegel), Dusseldorf and Munich, Germany; and Vienna, Austria. It acquired the former KLM Jet Center FBOs in Amsterdam and Rotterdam in October 2018, later gaining IS-BAH Stage 2 certification for all of its European FBOs, but for Amsterdam and Rotterdam, in December. The company is currently aligning its processes with the former KLM Jet Center and intends to receive IS-BAH certification for the Dutch locations before the end of 2019.

Jet Aviation is exhibiting at EBACE from May 21 – 23, 2019. Please take the time to visit our Jet Aviation Booth (# A18).
