GBTA Conference 2015 Toronto Gains Momentum with Record Attendance
Toronto, 2015-4-28 — /Travel PR News/ — The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Canada held its 11th annual conference from April 20-22 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, in Toronto. True to its theme, Business in Motion, the conference was a hub of activity with a record number of more than 550 delegates and more than 65 exhibitors.
Throughout the three-day conference attendees engaged in a number of educational sessions, that featured panel discussions and offered delegates the opportunity to address key issues with industry leaders to gain insights and advance dialogue in the areas that challenge today’s business travel professionals.
From the conference’s opening night with keynote speaker Bonnie Books, Vice Chair of the iconic Hudson Bay Company, to general sessions featuring talk show format debates, interactive role-play, and the presentation of GBTA Foundation’s study on the impact of business travel on the Canadian economy, GBTA Conference 2015 Toronto explored all things related to the changing dynamic of the business travel industry.
“This year’s GBTA Canada Conference exceeded expectation, with our delegates, exhibitors and speakers expressing their excitement throughout the conference,” said Nancy Tudorache, GBTA Director of Operations for Canada. “As a member-based organization we strive to create opportunities for members to connect with peers and industry leaders to grow their knowledge and ultimately their businesses. We’re already looking forward to growing the conference in 2016 and continuing to deliver industry insights that benefit our members.”
GBTA Conference 2015 Toronto offered unique opportunities for suppliers and delegates to connect through intimate “fire-side” chats that included such topics as travel tech, duty of care management and how to empower and protect travellers. GBTA Canada also launched a new Education-on-Demand component to the conference that will allow all delegates to revisit or view the sessions that took place during the event.
