(IN SHORT) At the 2025 Future Hospitality Summit Africa, Hilton announced plans to grow from 63 to over 160 hotels across Africa, including more than 100 in development. Key debuts span Angola (three properties), Benin (Hilton Cotonou), Madagascar (two Antananarivo hotels), Ghana (Hampton Accra Airport; Hilton Accra Cantonments later this year), Nigeria (Curio Abuja, Lagos Ikeja, Kano Garden Inn), Ethiopia (DoubleTree in Adama and Dire Dawa), and Tanzania (Canopy Zanzibar). The expansion will create 18,000 new jobs and integrates all properties into Hilton Honors. Recent openings include Canopy Cape Town Longkloof, DoubleTree Addis Ababa Airport, and Hampton Sandton Grayston.

Announced at the Future Hospitality Summit Africa 2025, this expansion will generate approximately 18,000 new jobs and support 600 immediate hires as Hilton bolsters its award-winning brands across the continent.

Hilton currently operates 63 African hotels and will enroll all new properties in Hilton Honors, serving over 218 million members worldwide.
