Seasoned hotelier promoted following successful term as Resort Manager
Scottsdale, U.S.A., 2016-Sep-29 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North announces the appointment of Marc Bromley as General Manager, effective immediately. A 10-year veteran of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Bromley served most recently as the property’s Resort Manager since spring 2014.
“The past two years have instilled a deep appreciation for the dedicated, tenured team at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, as well as a love for the beautiful Sonoran Desert,” says Bromley. “I am thrilled to continue the journey as General Manager, and deepen my role at both the property and in the community.”
During Bromley’s time as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, he helped guide the team to record-high performance in both profit and internal key product metrics. With his involvement in the day-to-day operation, Bromley developed a deep knowledge base of the property and arguably its most valuable asset, the employees. His familiarity with the property will serve him well in his new role as General Manager.
Prior to his time in Scottsdale, Bromley spent a two-year stretch as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo. He served in the same capacity at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, and previously as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. While in Washington, Bromley worked with renowned restaurateur Michael Mina and the Hotel team to launch BOURBON STEAK restaurant. He also served as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. Prior to joining Four Seasons, Bromley worked in various roles for Peninsula Hotels in Beverly Hills and Chicago.
A graduate of University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Bromley earned his degree in hotel administration. His love for the hospitality industry started early on, with his father’s celebrated career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Bromley learned the business from the ground up, working his way through every line level job, including cook, steward and houseman, to name a few.
Bromley will continue to reside in Scottsdale with his wife Katie and three children – daughters Nora (6) and Georgia (4), and infant son Beau. An avid sports fan, Bromley loves college football and is a dedicated University of Michigan Wolverines fan, which he attended prior to UNLV. He also enjoys running, dining out, listening to music and spending time with his family.
Bromley assumes the role following Regional Vice President and General Manager Vince Parrotta, who was appointed President, Hotel Operations – Americas, for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Another Four Seasonsveteran, Parrotta has worked at Four Seasons properties throughout the Americas for the past 17 years, prior to 15 years with Westin Hotels & Resorts.
“Marc is absolutely the right person for this position,” says Parrotta. “For the past two years, he has delved deep into the culture and community at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, and will continue to lead the team to success in the coming years.” Adds Parrotta, “though I look forward to my new role, I have enjoyed – tremendously – my time in Scottsdale. I have every confidence that Marc will continue to position this property as one of the world’s premier resorts.”
