Dining and Drinking

Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto presents an array of options in a city known for its many world-class restaurants and notable dining experiences.

• The Brasserie – A modern dining concept new to the city’s culinary scene in a relaxed environment with a menu shaped by Kyoto’s distinct seasons.  Seating will be indoors and out on terraces at the water’s edge, with comfortable lounge areas and cosy banquettes.
• Sushi Wakon – An exclusive Edo-style Japanese restaurant and sushi bar will have a mere ten available seats in the open area, and two very private rooms for four or eight guests.
• The Lounge – A lobby lounge overlooking the garden will serve sweet treats and innovative coffee drinks.
• Shakusui-tei – The Japanese art of hospitality will be showcased in a lovely tea house in the garden with 18 seats indoors and 14 by the water.  Offering a traditional tea experience by day, the lounge area of the tea house will transform into a sake and champagne bar by night.

Meetings and Events at Four Seasons

Destined to become Kyoto’s preferred address for weddings, social events and prestigious business functions,Four Seasons will offer a total of 569 square metres (6,124 square feet) of flexible event space.

• The naturally-lit ballroom overlooking the garden is being decorated by acclaimed Kyoto artists and artisans in a theatrical expression of the city’s changing seasons.  The divisible space will accommodate up to 220 for seated dining, and boast a private pre-function area with bar, optional show kitchen, and VIP wedding entrance.
• Three executive-style conference rooms will be decorated in imperial style including intricately carved cedar doors.
• An exquisite wedding chapel is reached via a dramatic staircase with softly backlit washi-paper walls by award-winning Kyoto artist Eriko Horiki. This contemporary space on the fourth floor blends solemnity and elegance. Inspired by gently swaying bamboo, its undulating, six-metre (19.5 foot) ceiling features vertical bands of wood with stylised bamboo foliage shaped in relief.
