Designed by Henry Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in collaboration with Gary Johnson of CambridgeSeven Associates, the glass skyscraper soars above the city as the third tallest building in Boston, dazzling at 724 feet (220 metres) in height. Surrounding the elliptical “guitar pick” shaped building are streetscapes by landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgh. Bill Rooney of Bill Rooney Studio Inc was commissioned to drive the design aesthetic of the Hotel’s public spaces and guest rooms. The masterful interior design exemplifies a cutting-edge modern aesthetic, ultimately creating one of the premier hotel experiences in Boston.
Ideal for both leisure and business guests, the Hotel features 215 guest rooms and suites; The Wellness Floor at One Dalton featuring a spa, fitness centre and indoor heated lap pool; Zuma, the internationally-acclaimed Japanese izakaya-inspired restaurant and bar; Trifecta cocktail lounge; One + One breakfast and brunch restaurant; more than 10,000 square feet (1,000 square metres) of dedicated meeting and event space across two floors; a world-renowned art collection curated by Kate Chertavian; and 160 Private Residences.
The Wellness Floor at One Dalton
The Wellness Floor at One Dalton has received its first Forbes Five-Star award and is only one of two spas in the city of Boston to earn this coveted rating in 2022. Led by Spa Manager Lana Labrecque, the Wellness Floor is the ultimate urban sanctuary and is an entire floor dedicated to holistic and innovative experiences. The Wellness Floor is comprised of a Spa featuring five treatment suites including a couple’s suite, massage, facial and body-work treatments, steam rooms, rainfall showers and a relaxation room overlooking the city; a state-of-the-art fitness centre with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of Back Bay featuring Precor equipment and designed by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak; and a stunning 64 foot (20 metre) curved swimming pool featuring an underwater sound system and stylish poolside lounge.
