Four Seasons Hotel NYC Launches ‘The Edit’: A Pop-Up Shop Celebrating Black-Owned Designers

Lifestyle Creative Director Monica Domantay taps NYC’s best designers to elevate the boutique retail experience, bringing the city’s best fashion directly to guests

New York, U.S.A., 2023-Feb-07 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, the award-winning luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of TriBeCa, is launching a new inspiring collaboration with New York City’s best fashion designers to welcome The Edit: a space for pop up retail experiences and meaningful connections within The Spa’s third floor boutique.

The Edit’s first pop up experience will celebrate Black-owned businesses and designers bringing together four of New York’s top brands:

  • Ashya: Co-founded by design duo Ashley Cimone and Moya Annece, the accessories brand is rooted in travel, cultural awareness and the act of unifying style and utility. Ashya emerged as an “ode to exploration” motivated by global Black, Brown and Indigenous communities and transient modern life to approach design with effortless mobility.
  • Coco and Breezy: Founded by twin designers Corianna and Brianna Dotson, Coco and Breezy Eyewear is an inclusive, genderless brand most known for creating the late artist Prince’s third eye sunglasses and collaboration with Ciroc and Hersey’s. The Edit will carry a selection of Coco and Breezy’s most popular frames.
  • LAVI NYC: The Bronx-based contemporary menswear brand was founded by brothers Ced and Cedel with an imprint that encapsulates New York. Immersed in New York fashion from an early age, the designers saw a void in brands that speak to the real essence of the city and created a brand focused on experimental and classic silhouettes with unwavering quality.
  • Miitra: Founded by designer Dimitra Williams, Miitra’s mission is to uplift the spirit through thoughtfully designed pieces to promote strength, confidence, and self-love. The aesthetic of each silk scarf is clean, modern and minimal so the statement messages of positivity and hope always remain the focus. The Edit will spotlight Miitra’s designs with powerful messages such as the Peace Silk Scarf.

“We believe in creating experiences to inspire meaningful conversations and by launching The Edit, we are bringing new designers into our space who share in our vision while highlighting the best New York offers in fashion and accessories for our guests,” says Monica Domantay, Lifestyle Creative Director.

Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown plans to rotate designers within The Edit every few months. Next up the team is bringing together women-led designers for Women’s History Month in March.

The Edit is open Monday–Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm; and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
