2013-06-24 — /travelprnews.com/ — Four Seasons Hotel Firenze welcomes summer with the opening of the plein-air Al Fresco in a completely revisited formula: trattoria at lunchtime, pizzeria and barbecue for dinner. Guests can bask in the shade of the garden’s century-old holm oak trees by the green Spa pool as they savour Italian and regional specialties refreshed with Chef Vito Mollica’s creative touch, and invigorating libations at the poolside bar.
During the day guests can enjoy a typical Italian trattoria with the freshest summer recipes enhancing traditional local flavours. Then, when the evening comes, Al Fresco changes: pizzas cooked in the oven and excellent meat grilled on the new Josper grill, both installed in a dedicated corner under the trees of the Gherardesca Park.
From classic margherita and vegetarian pizzas up to the most extravagant choices made with chorizo, asparagus and Paolo Parisi egg or covaccino with bresaola, arugula and burrata. All made with flour selected from the best wheats, these pizzas can be served after a starter such as cinta senese ham cut by knife, tuna tartare with green gazpacho or the classic tomato soup with Tuscan olive oil.
After pizza, barbecue meat is the second must for summer 2013, prepared with care and in various ways: a Limousine or Tuscan steak, a fassone classic burger or a mixed grill with vegetables and potatoes are just a few examples of what is available on the menu. In addition, for lovers of fish specialties, Al Fresco serves an excellent octopus, squid and mixed seafood grill.
Every dish is accompanied by a selection of wines reflecting the local area or a wide choice of cocktails designed by expert Four Seasons barmen.
Al Fresco is a simple, informal venue with a play area and a children’s menu that will allow guests to spend a relaxing summer evening by the pool. Open daily from morning until night, Four Seasons Hotel Firenze offers a warm and fun-filled atmosphere, perfect for the entire family.
