Four Seasons announces the appointment of Byron Chong as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Tianjin

Tianjin, China, 2017-Jan-24 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has appointed Byron Chong to lead the opening team of Four Seasons Hotel Tianjin, now welcoming its first guests.  A twenty-year veteran of the company, Chong brings a wealth of experience to his first General Manager appointment, having previously worked at company’s hotels in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong, as well as significant international experience gained in Cairo and the resort destinations of Hawaii and the Maldives, and his Swiss education.

“Four Seasons culture is in my blood – I literally grew up with it, believe in it, and look forward to sharing the Four Seasons experience with guests of our new Hotel,” says Chong, who leads a team of 300 carefully chosen staff.  “World travellers have long respected the very high level of service and luxury that Four Seasons offers, and now we have opened our doors to local and international guests here in Tianjin.”

Located in city’s central business district, Four Seasons welcomes business travellers as well as hosts meetings, conventions and corporate events in its extensive function spaces.   The same facilities easily transform into glittering settings for social events, with numerous considerations including a VIP receiving room, and a special bridal suite.

Having advanced through the food and beverage side of hotel operations, Chong is particularly excited about the spectacular restaurants he will oversee at Four Seasons Hotel Tianjin.  Quality and authenticity are the key elements at two signature restaurants – one offering contemporary Italian cuisine, and the other a high-style Chinese restaurant with a Cantonese menu featuring local Tianjin specialties.  A lobby lounge on the second floor will welcome locals as well as Hotel guests, while a chic ninth floor bar promises to be the city’s newest see-and-be-seen gathering place.
