Passengers can now pre-book access to the new lounge, which is part of the airport’s ongoing multi-million-pound terminal transformation. Located on the first floor of the departure lounge, the new lounge will offer an additional 140 seats, all with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of the airport’s Eastern apron. Travelers will have the convenience of pre-booking their access to the new space ahead of its official opening this summer.

Designed with inspiration from the local area, the new Escape Lounge will cater to all types of passengers, featuring a variety of zones tailored for dining, working, and relaxing. The lounge will include a cozy area with comfortable seating and soft cushions, ideal for families and couples looking to start their holiday in comfort. There will also be quiet spaces for business travelers needing a peaceful environment to work. The dining area will offer breakfast bars, as well as table seating with self-service stations providing tea, coffee, cold drinks, and a wide range of food options from breakfast through to dinner, including light suppers. Dividing screens will provide a sense of privacy and separation between the lounge and dining areas, all set in a neutral color scheme with ambient lighting. Access will be via a new walkway next to the Cabin bar. The current Escape Lounge will remain open during construction, with updates on the future use of this space to follow.
