(PRESS RELEASE) DUBAI, UAE, 2025-Jun-3 — /Travel PR News/ — Emirates SkyCargo, the cargo division of the world’s largest international airline, has launched Aircraft Engines, a specialized solution designed for the transportation of aviation’s most critical and high-value components. This new product is part of the newly introduced Aerospace and Engineering vertical, which blends expertise, speed, and efficiency to cater to the precise demands of the aviation industry.
Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates SkyCargo, commented, “Transporting specialized items, such as aircraft engines, is a challenge we’re excited to embrace. With significant investment in our world-class infrastructure, we are prepared to meet these challenges head-on. Through close collaboration with various stakeholders and the application of our proprietary technology, we developed Aircraft Engines to offer a tailored, fit-for-purpose solution for such critical and technical cargo.”
Aircraft engines, which require highly specialized handling, are transported for maintenance, repair, and replacement. Recognizing the need for speed and precision, Emirates SkyCargo’s team worked closely with consultants, manufacturers, and operators to develop the Aircraft Engines solution.
Every step of the transport process is meticulously designed to ensure that each shipment is handled correctly. Certified loadmasters supervise the entire process, from loading and securing to unloading, employing specialized handling techniques and equipment such as shock-absorbing transport dollies. Emirates SkyCargo’s control tower team monitors each shipment, ensuring that it reaches its destination on time. Customers also have the option to add track and trace devices to receive real-time updates throughout the entire journey.
Understanding the urgency of aircraft engine transport, Aircraft Engines shipments are given the highest priority, minimizing ground time and ensuring efficient handling. A dedicated team in key global cities provides consultation and support via a hotline and email, ensuring faster responses to queries and smoother communication.
The launch of Aerospace and Engineering is a strategic move by Emirates SkyCargo to provide specialized logistics and transport solutions for the aviation, engineering, defense, and space industries. The vertical is tailored for a diverse customer base, including commercial aviation companies, aircraft manufacturers, parts suppliers, space technology manufacturers, and defense contractors, who require precise handling, speed, and security for their shipments.
In addition to Aircraft Engines, the vertical includes AOG (Aircraft on Ground) services, which expedite the transport of time-critical aircraft parts. Emirates SkyCargo’s established global network ensures quick and efficient delivery times, complemented by competitive connection times and re-routing options for freighters.
Other subcategories within the Aerospace and Engineering vertical are currently being developed to further expand Emirates SkyCargo’s suite of services.
Emirates SkyCargo is already a first-choice carrier for aircraft engines, averaging hundreds of shipments every year across its vast global network. The airline has a rich history of involvement in aerospace logistics, including the transportation of KhalifaSat, the first satellite built by Emirati engineers at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), which was flown from Dubai to South Korea. More recently, Emirates SkyCargo transported nanosatellites from Paris to Auckland for global IoT connectivity.
This experience, combined with the introduction of the Aircraft Engines solution and the Aerospace and Engineering vertical, positions Emirates SkyCargo as a leader in the transportation of critical and high-value aerospace components.
