Emirates Expands Retail Footprint with the Launch of Emirates World in Cairo

The opening expands the Emirates World footprint to three stores in Africa and nine globally

This new store is part of a broader strategy to enhance customer engagement through advanced technologies, interactive product displays, and personalized services. The opening of Emirates World in Cairo expands the airline’s global network of these enhanced retail spaces to three in Africa and nine worldwide.

The new Emirates World store is located at the upscale 5A WaterWay complex in Cairo and was officially inaugurated by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, alongside Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, Centre. The ceremony also saw the presence of Her Excellency Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador, Pilot Montaser Mana, the Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation of Egypt, and Amr Kady, CEO of the Egypt Tourism Authority, along with other prominent guests and media partners.

A Milestone for Emirates in Egypt

Adnan Kazim, reflecting on the milestone, stated, “Egypt was one of the first destinations we flew to, marking the beginning of our journey over 40 years ago. The launch of Emirates World in Cairo is a further testament to our long-standing relationship with Egypt, and our commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. With this new store, we continue to enhance our retail strategy, which aligns perfectly with our ‘Fly Better’ promise, bringing smart technology, expert advice, and a more personal level of service to our customers.”

Kazim also highlighted that this new store marks a key step in the airline’s global retail strategy, with more Emirates World stores planned for Africa and other regions. The goal is to deepen the connection with customers by offering elevated services and a unique in-store experience that complements the airline’s renowned in-flight hospitality.

Innovative Customer Experience and Personalized Service

Spanning 332m², the Emirates World store in Cairo offers a stylish, open-plan space that mirrors the comfort and luxury of the airline’s in-flight experience. The store showcases an array of Emirates’ signature products, including a full-size model of the Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge and a display of the airline’s First Class suite. Visitors can enjoy a blend of interactive experiences and expert consultation across nine customer service counters, where they can plan travel itineraries, make reservations, and receive personalized travel advice.

Smart technologies further enhance the customer journey, with features such as the ‘selfie mirror’ that allows customers to capture moments against beautiful destination backdrops. Self-service kiosks are also available to help streamline the process, reducing wait times and providing customers with a quicker service.

Emirates has been an integral player in Egypt’s aviation and tourism sectors since launching its first flight to Cairo in 1986. Since then, the airline has transported over 10.6 million passengers, cementing its role in connecting Egypt to the world. Currently, Emirates operates four daily flights to Cairo, strengthening its network and offering greater flexibility for travelers.
