(PRESS RELEASE) DUBAI, 2025-Apr-29 — /Travel PR News/ — Emirates and Philippine Airlines (PAL) recently met at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai to discuss the potential expansion of their partnership, aiming to enhance travel options and services for passengers. The two airlines are considering a reciprocal codeshare agreement, which could offer greater convenience, improved schedules, and better connectivity between the Philippines and Dubai, as well as on select routes beyond each airline’s existing network.
A codeshare partnership between Emirates and PAL would provide travelers with seamless connectivity to a wider array of destinations, offering the convenience of booking a single ticket, enjoying a competitive fare, and benefiting from a unified baggage policy for the entire journey.
The collaboration would not only focus on passenger service enhancements but also explore opportunities to strengthen cargo interline cooperation. Both airlines also plan to exchange best practices in ground handling, catering, maintenance, and technical training, as well as organize joint familiarization trips for key media and trade stakeholders.
This potential codeshare agreement builds on the airlines’ existing relationship, which began with an enhanced interline agreement in March 2023. Since then, Emirates and PAL have successfully connected travelers to ten domestic points in the Philippines via Cebu and Clark, as well as nine international destinations via Dubai, allowing passengers to enjoy hassle-free travel with baggage check-through to their final destinations.
Emirates has been serving the Philippines since 1990, and the airline has since expanded its operations to include a circular service to Cebu and Clark. Today, Emirates offers 28 weekly flights between Dubai and the Philippines, providing approximately 22,700 weekly seats and connecting passengers to over 140 destinations across its global network. In addition, Emirates recently opened its first Emirates World Store in Southeast Asia in Manila, reinforcing its commitment to offering Filipinos top-notch service from booking to boarding.
