New directors move across from current easyJet roles
LUTON, England, 2019-Jul-24 — /Travel PR News/ — easyJet holidays has put the finishing touches to its board team with the appointment of two new Directors announced today.(JULY 22 2019)
Paul Ablin, easyJet’s current Group Finance Director will join the holidays business as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in September. Paul will be responsible for the delivery of the corporate strategy and business model and will lead the Holiday’s programme delivery capability, IT delivery, market expansion and distribution.
Prior to joining easyJet, where he’s been for nine years, Paul held a variety of senior roles at SABMiller plc. Paul has also worked for a number of other blue-chip organisations such as KPMG, Linklaters, M&S and E&Y.
Matt Callaghan, currently easyJet’s Head of Group Risk and Assurance with responsibility for internal audit, risk management and business resilience, will be the new Customer Director for easyJet holidays. Matt will have full accountability for all aspects of the customer experience and journey, leading and implementing our strategy to ensure that we build a best in class customer facing team and culture.
Prior to joining easyJet, Matt held a number of senior customer and operational roles at British Airways. This experience included responsibility for customer experience across the airline’s large scale operations at Heathrow, and the delivery of ‘on the day’ operations heading up the company’s global operations centre based in the UK.
Both Paul and Matt will join the holidays business in the coming months.
The new line up completes the holidays board which combines key easyJet individuals who bring with them extensive business and brand knowledge, along with newly appointed and experienced travel industry professionals.
