DFW Airport Anticipates Record Spring Break Travel Numbers with Over 4.2 Million Passengers Expected

Dallas, TX, 2023-Mar-09 — /Travel PR News/ — Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) anticipates welcoming over 4.2 million passengers for the Spring Break period from Mar. 2, through Mar. 20. This reflects a 14.3% increase compared to last year and an 11.8% increase when compared to Spring Break 2019. This increase underscores the strong demand for travel. Thanks to DFW’s robust network, customers can satisfy the desire to travel with more than 250 destinations worldwide. Whether it is to a sunny, beachside destination, a snowy mountain retreat, or a bustling big city, DFW delivers many options for that great Spring Break trip.

“DFW Airport is more than ready to warmly welcome all our Spring Break travelers and provide them with an exceptional customer experience,” said Ken Buchanan, executive vice president of revenue management and customer experience. “We are already seeing a large increase in passengers eager to take that exciting trip to a fun destination. 2023 is shaping up to be one of our best years yet.”

Follow the tips outlined on DFW’s Travel Tips page to make any trip as smooth as possible. Additionally, we recommend that customers arrive at DFW at least two hours before a domestic or international flight to allow ample check-in and security screening time. We expect our parking garages and lots to be very busy, and Terminals C and D tend to fill up the quickest. For customers flying American Airlines, if parking is unavailable at your departure terminal, you can park, check-in, and check baggage at any of our five terminals. Express and Remote parking is also available with shuttle service to all terminals.  Once checked in, customers can use Skylink to connect easily to any other terminal within minutes. Customers can also use the DFW Airport App to find real-time TSA security wait times and the locations of TSA Pre-Check lanes for eligible passengers. Customers should always check with their airline for the most accurate flight information.
