Calgary, CA, 2014-1-31 — /travelprnews.com/ — The L Spa and Wellness Centre located in the Podollan Inn & Spa, Grande Prairie has been awarded the recognition of Top 100 Spas in North America for the third consecutive year by Spas of America.
The Top Spas of 2013 in North America include 65 spas from the United States, two from Mexico, 33 from Canada, of which only four are from Alberta. The L Spa is the only spa in the ranking in Grande Prairie. It is ranked along side Alberta’s prestigious Fairmont Spas in Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper.
There are over 2300 spas in Canada and thousands more in the United States and Mexico. This ranking by Spas of America was created to feature those spas responding to consumer behavior in their offering of programs, products and services.
Through social media marketing tools such as Facebook and Twitter and the connection to the L Spa website, Leah Podollan, owner of the L Spa & Wellness Centre at the Podollan Inn & Spa, has been responding to consumer behaviour by interacting with clients on a daily basis. “Without this effective marketing tool of Facebook an award like this would not be possible. There are numerous Spas in North America. The proof is in the results of the analytics showing that consumers engage and click through when creating campaigns and strategically connecting marketing platforms such as Facebook to our website and to our calls to action. We are rated #76 in North America and are recognized as one of 33 spas in Canada; 4 in Alberta, many of which are large corporations with deeper pockets for marketing and brand names that naturally generate more volume to their websites.” explains Leah Podollan.
Podollan acknowledges the talented people she works with including Kari Wilkinson of Toliver Advertising & Design for collaborating on marketing & design. “Thank you Kari for collaborating with me on creative design, as this recognition is based on consumer behaviour website interaction. And I thank all of the L Spa and Wellness Centre Spa Junkies who take the time to interact on our Facebook site, entering our contests, sharing our messages, following our links and inspiring us to be innovative in the name of spa’ing and wellness! I’m grateful to my spa team for their logistical support behind the scenes, and my dear family and friends in Grande Prairie who support this journey and all of my projects.” says Podollan.
“We are seeing two important drivers in the spa and wellness industry” says Spas of America President Craig Oliver. “Health, fitness and weight-loss continue to be very important to consumers, and its growth is reflected in the popularity of fitness, adventure and destination spas. And Spa-goers are also drawn to spas for relaxation, whether they’re going with their significant other, friends or a solo-escape”.
